| Lt. Saavik (Star Trek), the Doctor (Doctor Who), Admiral Kirk (Star Trek). Saavik regenerates in the Hero of Three Faces sketch preceeding this cartoon in chronological order. And again in this sketch. This cartoon is an abridged version of my Usenet-era story Transformations to adapt it for Three Faces continuity. Since I wrote it c. 1998 we've had some further glimpses of Gallifreyan/Time Lord home/family life for Saavik's story to accomodate. And not only Saavik - the Time Lord original character and the results of his self-assigned mission appeared in 20th century crossovers of mine with several other fandoms. Accomodation of sceen continuity developments largely consists of leaving out bits of the original story, which isn't difficult when condensing four chapters down to a reasonable amount of panels. I'll probably be working elements of those other stories, also adapted for compatibility with 21st century Doctor Who, into Three Faces continuity too. Though I confess I'm still pondering how to square this with the Timeless Child revelation; I may have to retract this or replace it with something more clever. But those Three Faces sketches have been in the archive for years and it finally got to bugging me enough that there was no explanation that I had to insert one. |
