This cartoon was written to incorporate the development of Loki S1E03, that the TVA agents are themselves variants unknowingly, into the Hero of Three Faces continuity of the cartoon drawn reacting to episode one.

This is the first instance in production order of Trip Tucker appearing in Three Faces as one of Guinan's traveling companions. In existing cartoons there's at least one each appearance of Ilia, Wesley, Sisko, and Kes, one character per series (pre-Discovery) who left their series by ascending to a higher, or at least different, plane of existence. No one on Enterprise got to do that, and I've been feeling badly about not including an Enterprise character among Guinan's companions before now, but Trip got done fatally dirty by the series finale so I finally decided he's who deserves it.
