The Doctor (Doctor Who), Captain Pike (Star Trek). The face the Doctor has in this cartoon appeared on Doctor Who in two episodes of the 2020 season as an example of the earlier lives of which the Doctor's memories had been taken; similarly, Captain Christopher Pike first appeared on Star Trek in an episode revealing him to have been captain of the Enterprise during events previous to the series' events. Also this cartoon from earlier in production order (calling back to even earlier cartoons than it) though later in chronological order establishes that, in The Hero of Three Faces continuity, the early-days Doctor does not meet Spock aboard the Enterprise until Kirk is captain. At this writing this is the first cartoon in chronological order depicting an acquaintance between the Doctor and Captain Pike.
