| Captain Pike (Star Trek), the Doctor (Doctor Who). The face the Doctor has in this cartoon appeared on Doctor Who in two episodes of the 2020 season and one in 2021 as an example of an earlier incarnation(s) of which the Doctor's memories had been taken, here appearing in The Hero of Three Faces chronologically as previous to the first tv Doctor (though the showrunner who created this continuity expansion is on record as not going on record whether the Doctor's missing history is from before or during the character's air history). Similarly, Captain Christopher Pike first appeared on Star Trek in an episode revealing him to have been captain of the Enterprise during events previous to the series' events. Also this cartoon from earlier in production order (calling back to even earlier cartoons than it) though later in chronological order establishes that, in The Hero of Three Faces continuity, the early-days Doctor does not meet Spock aboard the Enterprise until past this incarnation. This is the first cartoon in production order depicting an acquaintance between the Doctor and Captain Pike. |

| Lee, Gat (Doctor Who). "No, our stasers were set to transmat, just like the Doctor's": In Fugitive of the Judoon the reactions of the other characters, including the shooters and the victims and the rainbow Doctor, to Gat shooting Lee and to the fugitive Doctor shooting Gat are very much reactions of people believing the shooting victims to be disintegrated. But I decided that for Hero of Three Faces continuity Lee had to have survived for the sake of the reveal in the next, final panel of this comic strip. Originally I drew this panel with another Time Lord than Gat expositing to Lee, leaving Gat dead at least by implication. But, like the rainbow Doctor, I don't like to think that the fugitive Doctor would've disintegrated Gat instead of finding a nonlethal way to escape her. Having rescued Lee I'd already had three of four of the Doctor's Division team survive into post-Division continuity, so why not all? Then, having spared Gat, I later found a way to treat her in another cartoon the way I'm treating Lee in this one. The sentence about serving the Time Lords is to imply that Lee was the child who pushed the timeless child off the cliff. |
