Overstreet suggested, when I asked in my LJ what would really happen
next in terms of legal procedure, that a Homeland Security arrest would place
one in the federal court system, which is much slower to arraign, bail and
try just because there's less of it. He further suggested that the previous
administration would have held on to Superman Kingman as long as
possible to make an example of him, while the present administration would
get him bailed out as quickly as possible having so much else on its plate
for its first hundred days. I'm not as certain about the former, but I agree
with the latter which is the relevant one anyway. But it does mean that the
trial would be bumped quite some time off (which is what tomorrow's cartoon
will be about), so I have some time to research and decide what happens then.
