| Gat (Doctor Who), Macbeth, Malcolm (Shakespeare's Macbeth), the Doctor (Doctor Who). This is a crossover with The Tragedy of Macbeth c. A.D. 1606, set in the far prehistory of the continuity of Doctor Who. It reflects an expansion of Doctor Who continuity introduced in the episode The Timeless Children (2020), when it was revealed to the Doctor that she had lived many lives before the thirteen she was aware of (the Doctor, as you may know, being an extraterrestial time traveler, has the fantastic ability to change their appearance any time an actor tires of the part). These earlier lives had been wiped from her memories by her people the Time Lords. The face the Doctor has in this cartoon appeared on Doctor Who in several episodes 2020-2022 as one example of the earlier lives of which the Doctor's memories had been taken. This cartoon was originally drawn with the Doctor in his "fifth" face (the one with the celery) but the unprecedented expansion of the Doctor Who continuity by The Timeless Children provided the opportunity to re-situate it at the proper time for the crossover property in The Hero of Three Faces' chronology/continuity. Also, in the version of this cartoon when the incarnation of the Doctor was the fifth, the Time Lord ally of MacBeth was the Master but, after the Timeless Children reveal, Hero of Three Faces continuity set up a different pre-mindwipe identity for the Master. For a time Macbeth's ally in this cartoon was a generic evil Time Lord but I eventually realized Gat, known unfriendly to this incarnation of the Doctor (Fugitive of the Judoon, 2020), was right there. |
