This cartoon is linked from the archive page production order columns but not chronological order columns because I remove a cartoon from the chronological order columns when it is no longer part of The Hero of Three Faces continuity. When I drew this after the 2019 season finale I wrote in this space, "How I would hope it will go in the season premier for Kara learning Lena knows. What I believe will happen, and the trailer from SDCC pretty much confirms it (though there seems to be a shot of Lena calling Supergirl 'Kara'), is the writers will keep contriving circumstances for Kara to put it off while Lena's resentment pushes her down the path of this season arc's big bad from which she may or may not be redeemed in the end. But I was wrong about Lena's secret reveal last season so maybe this time too." Not this time too, exactly. What actually happened in next season's premiere Event Horizon (2019) was better and worse, I think. Better because Kara gets it blurted out, like she should have, when Lena wasn't expecting it. But worse, though in character, because Lena doesn't forgive and continues planning some betrayal of her own. |
