| A megalomaniac, Rose, the Doctor (Doctor Who). The first few years there were protesters outside panel borders, when The Hero of Three Faces would come back from summer break, the first few days' cartoons would try to run out the backlog of new names that had accumulated over the summer. This cartoon was the fall premier of the first year that happened. Later the procedure became to give all new names, whenever they appeared, one day when all protesters carried exclusively their name; then, on days when there isn't a new name, there's one or more protester each carrying an old name. |

| Fall premier traditionally falls on August 17th, anniversary of the day in 1997 when my internet fanfiction was prose that I first posted a chapter with intent to post chapters weekly, in analog to the daily cartoons I drew offline. I didn't start posting daily cartoons to the internet for almost five years, till 1999, one of two regrets I have in my life, the other being that I wasn't there when my wife died. August 17th is also the anniversary of the death of my wife in 2014; so, from 2015 on, the fall premier cartoon traditionally features the Doctor in his tenth incarnation and Rose Tyler, the characters who made my favorite show into her favorite show. This is the first of those, from 8/17/15. |
